Planning your event

What should you plan for?

Hindi’s constitutional and official-language roles

India’s official-language policy names Hindi in Devanagari script as the Union’s official language. The Government of India also lists it in the Constitution’s Eighth Schedule, a separate provision covering scheduled languages.

Section 3(3) of Fiji’s 2013 constitution requires Hindi and iTaukei translations of its English constitutional text to be made available. This requirement concerns the constitution. For your event, ask delegates which written or spoken language they want to follow during the programme.

हिन्दी leads to Hindi controls

The Hindi page asks “आप कैसे अनुभव करना चाहेंगे?” after the attendee chooses हिन्दी. सुनें starts listening and पढ़ें opens reading. Instructions stay in the selected language, with translated audio and text available for the same audience language.
