Planning your event

What should you plan for?

Tajik’s state-language and writing context

Tajikistan’s constitution names Tajik as the state language. A UN geographical-name romanisation source refers to the Tajik Cyrillic alphabet.

Show delegates from Tajikistan Baian’s actual written output when explaining the event’s translation format. They will need to read during the programme, so ask whether they can comfortably follow the presentations this way.

Тоҷикӣ leads to text, with buttons in English

The Тоҷикӣ button opens the written translation immediately, skipping a listening choice. Tajik is text only. The rest of the interface is in English, so guests need to recognise their language button and understand that they are joining a reading view.

Tajik speakers and audiences choosing text

Baian supports Tajik speech. A presenter using it can be translated into other supported languages, while attendees choosing Tajik receive text. Record those two directions separately if your programme needs both.
